Susan Rossiter is a mixed media artist based in Ohio, known for her vibrant, abstract works inspired by the colors, shapes, and patterns of the 1950s through 1970s. She incorporates materials like acrylics, handmade papers, and wood veneer, often combining painting, collage, and assemblage techniques.
Her process emphasizes texture, composition, and bold color choices, reflecting her background in design, printmaking, and painting from her college studies. Rossiter works out of two studios in Ohio. Rossiter leads project and process-based workshops across the U.S. and online.
Her art is exhibited at Studios on High Gallery in Columbus, Ohio, and her work has been commissioned by many, including Nationwide Insurance’s headquarters and the Smithsonian Docent program. She has received awards and grants and is recognized for her engaging teaching style and humorous approach to her practice.
