Samantha Wallen is a poet and writing guide devoted to a literature of restoration. She helps writers claim themselves as real writers, build sustainable creative lives, and bring their books into the world.

With an MFA from Naropa University’s Jack Kerouac School of Disembodied Poetics, Samantha’s work explores the fine threads that connect us to each other and the more-than-human living world. Her approach to writing emphasizes presence, truth, and relational awareness, offering writing not as content production but as a meaningful practice of attention and participation.
She is the author of the poetry collection Weight of Water and the creator of the restorative writing framework known as “Beyond the Journal.”
